Privacy Policy

JUSTSET is a strength training app that builds and manages your workout plan. This policy explains what information we process, why, and what control you have over it. We have tried to describe how the app actually works rather than every theoretical possibility.

Who we are

In this policy, “JUSTSET”, “we” and “us” refer to the team that operates the JUSTSET app and this website. If you have a question about anything here, you can reach us at support@getjustset.app.

You can use JUSTSET without an account

JUSTSET is built to work on your device first. You can complete onboarding, get a plan and train without signing in, and in that case your data stays on your phone. Signing in with an email address is what enables backup and syncing across your devices.

Information we process

Account information

If you choose to create an account, we process your email address and an account identifier, together with the session information needed to keep you signed in. We use email sign-in codes; JUSTSET does not ask you for a password.

Your training profile

These are the answers you give during onboarding and can change later in Settings: your fitness goal, experience level, whether you train at a gym or at home, the equipment you have available, how many workouts you want per week, and how long a workout should be. We also store whether you prefer kilograms or pounds.

JUSTSET does not ask for your age, date of birth, height, body weight, body measurements or gender.

Workout information

This is the fitness information you create by using the app:

  • the training plans JUSTSET generates for you, and the profile each plan was built from;
  • changes you make to a scheduled workout in your plan;
  • custom workouts you build yourself, including their exercises, sets, rep ranges and rest;
  • workouts you have completed, including the exercises, the weight and repetitions you recorded for each set, and when the workout was finished;
  • progression information derived from the above.

We process this as fitness and workout information that you provide and generate in the app. JUSTSET does not connect to Apple Health or HealthKit, and does not collect medical records, diagnoses, nutrition data, heart rate, menstrual cycle data or any other biometric measurement.

What we do not collect

The app does not request access to your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, calendar or motion sensors, and does not use an advertising identifier. It does not send push notifications.

On your device and in your account

JUSTSET writes your data to your device first, so that training works without a connection. When you are signed in, the supported information described above is also saved to your account so it can be restored on another device or after reinstalling.

A workout in progress never leaves your device. While you are training, the set you are on, the weights and reps you are typing, and the rest timer are held only on that phone. They are not uploaded, and an unfinished workout cannot be picked up on another device.

If you use JUSTSET without signing in, or while signed out, nothing is uploaded at all.

Why we process this information

  • to create and maintain your workout plan;
  • to remember what you did last time and adjust what comes next;
  • to keep your account and sign-in working;
  • to back up supported data and restore it on your devices when you are signed in;
  • to show exercise guidance and demonstration media;
  • to answer your support requests;
  • to keep the service secure and working.

Advertising, analytics and tracking

JUSTSET does not sell personal information, and does not use your workout data for third-party behavioural advertising. The current version of the app contains no advertising, no analytics SDK and no crash-reporting SDK. If that changes in a future version, we will update this policy and the app’s App Store privacy details before it ships.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run the service. They process information only as needed to provide their part of it.

  • Supabase — account sign-in, the database that stores your synced data, and our server functions.
  • Resend — delivery of the sign-in code emails we send to your address.
  • MuscleWiki — the source of the exercise demonstrations and guides shown in the app.
  • Vercel — hosting for this website.

Media requests go through a JUSTSET server rather than from your phone to the media provider. That server asks for an exercise by its identifier, so the media provider does not receive your email address, your account identifier, your training profile or your workout history.

These providers may process information in countries other than the one you live in.

How long we keep it

Your account data and the workout data synced to it are kept while your account exists. Data held only on your device stays there until you remove it or uninstall the app. We may retain limited information for longer where we need to for security or where the law requires it.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from inside the app: Settings → Account → Delete account.

This is permanent and cannot be undone. It removes your JUSTSET account and the data stored with it — your preferences and training profile, your workout history, your custom workouts, your plans and your scheduled workout edits — and removes the account itself so you can no longer sign in. Routine backups of our systems are replaced over time, so deletion may not be instantaneous everywhere at once.

Clearing data on one device

Settings also contains a Clear history control under Data. This is not the same as deleting your account. It removes JUSTSET data from the device you are using — workouts, history, plans, custom workouts and settings — and leaves your account and anything saved to it untouched. If you are signed in, you can bring your account data back afterwards with Restore from account.

Signing out is different again: it ends your session on that device and does not delete anything.

Your choices and rights

You can review and change your training profile and preferences in Settings at any time, and you can delete your account as described above. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. Write to support@getjustset.app and we will help.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect your information, including transport encryption and access rules that keep each account’s data separate from every other account’s. No service can promise perfect security.

Children

JUSTSET is a general strength training app and is not directed at children. It is not intended for anyone below the minimum age required to consent to the use of an online service where they live.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
